Homemade Italian Seasoning

Homemade Italian Seasoning is full of classic herbs. It’s great for salads, marinades, or as a substitute for Italian seasoning packets in recipes.

A 2-STEP RECIPE

This Homemade Italian Seasoning Mix and Italian Seasoning is easy to make and is full of flavor. If you prefer to make your own seasonings then this is for you! I think it is the perfect blend of flavors. You can use it in any recipe that calls for a packet of Italian seasoning mix and you can also use it to whip up some homemade Italian dressing (which I will show you how to do below!) Making it at home allows you to control the ingredients used and makes it easy to adjust the flavors to your preferences.

Notes

NOTE: A packet of Italian dressing/seasoning mix generally calls for 2 Tablespoons of Italian seasoning mix along with oil, vinegar and water to make a dressing. There is no sugar, salt or xanthan gum in the homemade seasoning mix so I don’t think you need as much since this is more concentrated. Also, we’ll be adding a bit of honey and salt in this dressing recipe to balance it out. However, I would suggest you start with a Tablespoon then add more to your taste.
